Apple has released iOS 16.4 Release Candidate for iPhone and iPadOS 16.4 Release Candidate for iPad The software has been released to developers and comes a week after the previous beta.
The Release Candidate or RC is basically the last beta version of the software and assuming there is no software issue, the final release for iOS 16,4 and iPadOS 16.4 will be based on this software.
This software brings a host of new features to iPhone and iPad, this includes around 21 new Unicode 15 emoji, faster 5G in some countries, push notification support for websites in Safari, new Apple HomeKit architecture, and more.

This update includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
– 21 new emoji including animals, hand gestures and items are now available in emoji keyboard
– Notifications for web applications added to the home screen
– Sound isolation for cellular calls prioritizes your voice and blocks out ambient noise around you
– Duplicate Album in Photos expands support for detecting duplicate photos and videos in iCloud Shared Photo Library
– VoiceOver support for Maps in the Weather app
– Accessibility setting to automatically darken video when flashes of light or strobe effects are detected
– Fixes an issue where “Ask to Buy” requests from children might not appear on the parent’s device
Addresses issues that may cause biocompatible thermostats to become unresponsive when paired with an Apple Home
– Crash detection improvements on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models

Assuming there are no major issues with this software, we can expect the final versions of iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 to be released to everyone next week.
